As Dr. Schmidt grew up, his father worked in finance for Dental Associates, so he often found himself in the company of dentists. During his freshman year of high school, Dr. Schmidt got a job with the janitor company that cleaned Dental Associates, where he could be found wiping windows and cleaning bathrooms. When his father worked late, he and his sister could be found rollerblading and playing rubber band wars down the halls after hours. Dr. Schmidt got interested in the dental space in high school and spent a summer dental assisting. Eventually, Dr. Schmidt decided dentistry was the right fit for him and never looked back!
Dr. Schmidt achieved his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and went on to become a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Minnesota. After working as an associate dentist for over nine years, he’s bringing his wealth of knowledge and skilfull expertise to the Ashwaubenon community as the owner and visionary of Dental Studio 920. To Dr. Schmidt, there’s nothing more rewarding than making meaningful connections with his patients.
As an experienced provider in IV sedation, his goal is to ease any fears and help individuals harness a whole new level of confidence when it comes to their dental experience. He takes the time to pour into his patients, get to know them on a personal level, and relate to their unique challenges to provide solutions that will really make them smile. Working from a posture of understanding, intentional care, you can trust you’re in great hands with Dr. Schmidt.
On his days and evenings outside of the office, Dr. Schmidt treasures quality time with his family. He’s a husband to his wonderful wife, Heather, and a proud father to two little ones, Dekker and Palmer. You can also catch him cheering on his favorite football teams as a diehard Badgers and Packers fan, hitting the green playing golf, and staying active!
Dr. Emily Landree always had a love for community outreach, the sciences, and the arts. But it was during a mission trip to Honduras where she served as a dental assistant that she found her love for dentistry. From there, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University and went on to Indiana University School of Dentistry to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
During her time in school, Dr. Landree discovered her passion in dentistry comes from the connections she makes with her patients. Coming from a family with dental anxiety, Dr. Landree has made it her mission to make the dental office a less scary place. She loves building a relationship with patients through trust and education. The dental office is a judgment free zone and Dr. Landree will be by your side through every step of the way.
When not in the office, Dr. Landree can be found catching up on her favorite TV shows or exploring new restaurants in the area. When the weather is nicer, she enjoys a day on the boat fishing with her husband, Bobby.

Heather has worked in the dental field since 2012, first as an assistant and now as a dental hygienist. Born and raised in De Pere, she’s a lifelong resident of the area. Her favorite thing about being a hygienist, besides keeping smiles sparkling, is building lasting relationships with her patients.
When not spending time with her husband and two kids (dog and cat too!), she’s probably practicing photography, Cricut craft projects, or riding the Peloton.
Amanda has worked in dentistry since 2009. She started at the front desk but after a year, she wanted to get more hands on so she transferred to assisting where she’s been ever since! Hailing originally from Luxemburg, she’s lived in the greater Green Bay area her whole life. Her favorite thing about being a dental assistant is working with patients who are nervous coming in and then when they leave, hearing them say “that wasn’t bad at all!” When she’s not helping patients achieve their dental goals, she’s probably reading or hanging out with her daughter Claire and her dog named Tiny, that is, you guessed it…tiny!
Bonnie has over 12 years of dental experience as a patient service representative, including time with urgent care and more recently in a pediatric dental setting. She has an upbeat personality and a contagious laugh that will be sure to brighten your day! When she’s not helping patients at the front or on the phone, she loves spending time with her husband, four daughters and her four grandchildren. Bonnie also enjoys going to car shows, driving her sweet Challenger, and working on home improvement projects.
Ellie has been a dental assistant for 2 years, first in the UP where she grew up, and then moved to Green Bay. She currently works with us part-time as a dental assistant while she is attending NWTC’s dental hygiene program. She will graduate in spring of 2024! Ellie’s favorite thing about being in the dental field is helping people realize that the dentist isn’t a scary place, and it can actually be enjoyable!
Maya first joined us in spring 2022 as a dental assisting student from NWTC doing her affiliation at our office! From the moment she came in to introduce her, we were all so impressed with her upbeat demeanor, and once she showed her excellent assisting skills and ability to talk with patients, we knew she would be the perfect addition! Maya worked part time throughout the year until she graduated from the dental assisting program in December and now we are lucky to have her full-time!
Megan has been in the dental field since 2016, starting in sterile and assisting the hygienists at a private practice in Saint Joseph MI, where she is originally from. She then moved to the Green Bay area to start school at NWTC for dental hygiene in 2020, continuing at the front desk for a nearby office. She has recently graduated from the dental hygiene program where she won the Most Outstanding Student Award! She says she cannot wait to build lasting relationships with her future patients and loves educating patients on the best ways to care for their oral health and keep their smiles shining!
Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time outdoors with her fiancé and new puppy, Nash.
Tara is an experienced dental assistant known for her skillful care and friendly approach. With a wealth of knowledge in the field, she is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels comfortable and informed. Outside of work, Tara loves to spend time kayaking and having fun with friends, always seeking new adventures
Ciarra is a dedicated dental assistant with a passion for helping patients achieve their best smiles. Her friendly personality and commitment to patient care make her an invaluable part of the team. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their beloved dog. When she’s not at the dental office, Ciarra loves to hit the volleyball court and engage in a variety of outdoor activities.
Karla brings a wealth of experience in all areas of dentistry. She can expertly navigate patient accounts and insurance matters, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Karla is great at balancing a busy professional life with a very business home life too! Karla is married to her husband who runs a dairy farm, and two active kids in multiple sports!

In December of 2020, Dr. Schmidt was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Often going undiagnosed amongst healthy individuals, this disease affects the cardiac muscles and makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood. After having a defibrillator implanted into his chest, he began to learn more about sudden cardiac arrest and the power of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Here at Dental Studio 920, we strive to touch the lives of others in a way that’s purposeful and lasting. To help raise awareness about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and sudden cardiac arrest, Dr. Schmidt is donating portable AEDs to local schools, small businesses, gyms, and families in the Ashwaubenon community. By giving AEDs to organizations in need, we have the immeasurable opportunity to increase survival, take action, and save lives.
